Welcome to the first installment for So You Think You Can Act Slam. For any aspiring actor this was the place to be.

This event was brought to us by Platinum Rouge Talent Agency. They focus on connecting experienced and new talent of all races, genders, ages, and ethnicities to current casting opportunities in the Greater Toronto Area and beyond.

They are one of only casting agencies in Toronto that do not charge anything for actors to join and who commit to their long term development and even have a thriving sports casting division representing raising stars and pro athletes lead by NBA Agent Gary Durrant.

The judges for the night were:

– Jahmil French (professional actor) best known for his role in Degrassi.
– Natalie Novak (director, producer, writer, professional actor),
– Jay Mombo (director)
– Gary Durrant (NBA Agent, ON Air Sports Analyst ).

It was a great night for actors in Toronto area to come out and, put their acting skills on display. Networking with Industry professionals is a rare opportunity so it was a perfect time to take advantage of their insightful feedback.

Each actor performed a 3 minute scene / monologue from a feature film or original works. They repeated it for a second round. After round 2 there was a short break while the Platinum Princesses facilitated audience voting.
